The semifinals of the NHIAA boys state singles tournament is full of Bulldogs.

Bedford's Mark HoSang advanced to the singles semifinals, as did teammate Myles Utell.

Bedford High School teammates Mark HoSang and Myles Utell advanced to the final four on Tuesday, and if both were to win their semifinal matches on Thursday, they’d face each other for the state title.

HoSang is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will face Londonderry’s Alex Burbine, the No. 3 seed, in one of the semifinals. In the other, Utell, the No. 8 seed, will take on No. 1 seed Philipp Becker of Salem. Both matches will start at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Derryfield School and Southern New Hampshire University, with the final following.

The two were among six locals competing in the tournament.

HoSang was the highest seeded local player and won his first two matches 8-2 and 8-0 before beating Bishop Gueritn’s Frank DelPizzo, 6-0 and 6-0, in the third round. DelPizzo was the seventh seed and got a by in the first round and advanced through the second when his opponent retired due to injury.

Utell won his first two matches 8-1 and 8-4 before upsetting No. 4 seed Henry Morgan of Derryfield, 6-2 and 6-0, in the third round. Morgan defeated BG’s Aaron Wang in the second, 8-2. Wang advanced to the second round by winning his opening match 9-8 (5).

Hollis/Brookline’s Corbin Tulley advanced past the opening round by winning 9-7 in his first match, but fell to Becker 8-0 in the second round.

Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Keith Bujak fell to Pinkerton’s Dan Kish, 9-7, in the first round. Kish then lost to HoSang in the second round.
