Tyler Baulier of Merrimack High School finished first in the 215-pound weight class at the Meet of Champions on Saturday at Nashua North. The meet was moved from Londonderry High School, which was being used as an emergency shelter.
Baulier was the lone local champion, pinning Steven Dwight of Manchester Memorial at 3:22 of the championship match. Merrimack also got a second-place finish from Mike Trask, who lost to Jeff Cole of Oyster River at 125.
The Tomahawks were the top local team, finishing sixth with 58 points. Timberlane Regional won the meet with 265 points while Winnacunnet was second with 92 and Pinkerton took third with 90. Bishop Guertin (46) was eighth, while Milford (25) came in 15th and Campbell (14) was 25th.
Milford’s Josh Kilgore was the only other local to reach the finals. He lost in the championship match at 189, falling to Exeter’s Dylan Ryan, 6-4. BG’s Matt Christie took third at 171 and Zach Zemos, also from BG, was fourth at 112.
