The No. 14 Merrimack High School girls basketball team was down 11-0 to No. 3 Londonderry just 1:49 into Tuesday night’s Class L preliminary game. But the Tomahawks didn’t fold, going on a 22-5 run and eventually take a lead of nine points before the Lancers cut it to three just before halftime.

In the second half, Londonderry started making its shots from behind the 3-point line, and Merrimack didn’t have an answer, falling 63-45.

Rachel Carter led Merrimack with 19 points while Ashley Darling added 10 points and Kate Cole had eight markers.
