Nick Hession hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Souhegan Pirates to a 10-9 win over Keene Thursday in Senior Babe Ruth action. Eight local high school girls lacrosse players were named first-team all-state for the 2010 season. Souhegan, Nashua South, Bishop Guertin, Merrimack and Hollis/Brookline each had six girls receive all-state honors. (more...)
Milford hangs on to beat Salem
SALEM – There were plenty of hits and runs at the Salem High School baseball field on Tuesday. The same can’t be said of daylight. Milford Post 23 and Salem Post 63 combined for 27 runs on 33 hits in eight innings of play, as the American Legion game was called because of darkness with Milford up 14-13. (more...)

Milford returns favor to Jutras
MILFORD – Ed Coulombe knew what to expect when his Jutras Post 43 baseball team played Milford Post 23 at Keyes Field on Friday. Unfortunately, his starting nine weren’t as prepared.
