Divisions set for football in 2012
The NHIAA has approved a new football alignment for the next two-year cycle, beginning with the 2012 season. There will once again be six divisions, but that won't be the case for long. (more...)
Alvirne wrestling defeats Souhegan in dual meet
The Alvirne High School wrestling team recorded seven pins to defeat Souhegan 50-24 in a Division II dual meet on Wednesday. Three of those pins came in less than a minute, as Tyler Burgess won at 285-pounds, Taylor Thyne was a winner at 106 and Patrick Morse took the 160 match for the Broncos. (more...)
Souhegan boys hockey knocks off Manchester West
Stevie Upton had a hat trick in the first period as the Souhegan High School boys hockey team beat Manchester West 11-1 Wednesday night. Upton finished with three goals and three assists while Patrick Maguire had two goals for the Sabers (2-0 in Division III) and Conor Casey also scored twice. (more...)
Bulldogs, Sabers, Cavaliers put five each on D3 football first team
Five high school football players each from Souhegan, Bedford and Hollis/Brookline received Division III first-team all-state honors. Schedule set for first day of Nashua’s Chick-fil-A Holiday Basketball Tournament
The schedule for the opening day of the Chick-fil-A Holiday Basketball Tournament was recently released, and this year, seven of the eight participants will be from the Greater Nashua area. The tournament is scheduled to begin on Dec. 27, with all games being played at Nashua High School South. (more...)
