Pigskin Prophets: Week 10
Editor's note: The aftermath of the October snowstorm, combined with major computer problems, have limited efforts to update the site this week. We will hopefully be back up and running at full speed by Monday, and will get caught up with all the playoff and football action then. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we hope that [...]
Playoff games rescheduled
The NHIAA has spent the last few days repeatedly updating its Web site rescheduling playoff games in field hockey and soccer. Here is a list of when games will now be played (* denotes tentative reschedule). (more...)
North hosts Merrimack in crossover game
A late-season crossover game can do a few things for high school football teams. It can give a team headed for the playoffs an extra week to work on things, or to rest players, without consequence. It can also give a non-playoff contender a week to build for next year. Both Nashua North and Merrimack would be the later of those two. [...]
Pigskin Prophets: Week 9
Big games await this weekend, as Exeter and Nashua South battle for the second seed in Division; Bedford and Portsmouth meet in a game with playoff implications in Division III; and Timberlane and Spaulding will battle for a playoff berth in Division II. Check out the jump for this week's picks. (more...)
South, Exeter play for postseason positioning
Somewhere along the line, the Nashua High School South football team was tagged as a team with a porous defense. Through the first three games, that was true. The Panthers allowed an average of 39 points while winning non-division games against Dover and Lowell and losing to Pinkerton. But since then, South has been a different team on [...]

Hollis/Brookline and Nashua South will both host games in the Division I tournament, while Souhegan is the top seed in Division II. Pigskin Prophets: Week 8
Who would have know that a game between Spaulding and Alvirne in Week 8 would have playoff implications? It does, as do other games this week, like Nashua South at Salem, Goffstown at Milford, Exeter at Manchester Central and perhaps the biggest game of the weekend, Portsmouth at Hollis/Brookline. Check out the jump for this week's picks. [...]
Cavs host Clippers in key D3 football matchup
The Hollis/Brookline High School football team needed a game like last week's 14-7 loss to Bedford. Well, not necessarily the loss, but the Cavaliers needed to be in a game that wasn't over before the fourth quarter. Outside of an eight-point win against Manchester Memorial to open the season, H/B had beaten its other four opponents by an [...]
