The Washington Post reported earlier Thursday night that legendary UCLA men’s basketball coach John Wooden has died.
As the Internet buzzed with the news, other news outlets reported that Wooden, 99, was in the hospital and gravely ill.

Word is the New Jersey Nets are going to throw anywhere between $12 and $15 million a season at Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski to leave the college game and head to the NBA.

The second weekend of the NCAA Tournament begins Thursday night, with the regional semifinals for the East and West tipping off a little after 7 p.m.
First up is Syracuse and Butler in the West, followed by Washington and West Virginia in the East. The late games are Xavier and Kansas State in the West and Kentucky and Cornell in the East. The winners will play on Saturday.
